Tallysman Wireless Launches the TW141 and TW142, 40dB Lband Inline Amplifiers

Ottawa, Canada, March 4th, 2010 – Tallysman Wireless Inc., a leading provider of high performance, high quality RF and GNSS components, and wireless Telematics solutions, today announces the release of the TW141 and TW142 40dB gain Lband inline amplifiers.

The TW141 and TW142 are industrial grade/waterproof, highly linear, wideband 40dB gain in-line amplifier, specially designed to boost weak frequency signals in the Lband, including GNSS (GPS, Galileo and GLONASS) and SBAS (Omnistar, StarFire, WAAS, EGNOS, MSAS and DGPS systems). They provide for much longer cable runs from antenna to receiver without degradation of system sensitivity, for applications such as mast-mount, large vehicle and timing systems.

TW141: 1150 to 1750 MHz, 40dB gain, VSWR ≤2 max
TW142: 1450 to 1750 MHz, 40dB gain, VSWR ≤1.5 max

These Inline amps allow the DC to pass directly from input to output to support centre conductor DC supply to the antenna, and so avoid the need for an additional bias source or bias T. They come enclosed in a robust cylindrical zinc-plated brass weatherproof housing (IP67 compliant) and are available with SMA and TNC female connectors.
